2012 – 2014 Cymer BV - the Netherlands
For Cymer I was an EUV (Extreme Ultra Violet) on-site source engineer. I was responsible for maintenance, servicing, upgrading and also ensuring that the EUV Source operated as required which involved "tuning the system" when needed. This was on ASMLs NXE 3100 and 3300 Scanners using LPP (Laser Produced Plasma) EUV Light Sources.
I also had to assist and work closely with ASML's R & D engineers during new scanner and source qualification, testing and development to ensure that the light quality and power were sufficient. This all took place inside the Factory Cleanrooms of ASML.

2010 – 2012 Xtreme Technologies GMBH – Germany
At Xtreme Technologies I was a Senior Field Service Engineer and Customer Service Engineer. Working on their DPP (Discharge Produced Plasma) EUV (Extreme Ultra Violet) Light System. This included the Installation, Upgrading Process Tuning, Trouble Shooting and Maintenance of Ushio's Xtreme Technologies R & D light source, at various customer sites In Belgium and The Netherlands and in the factory in Germany

1995-2010 Lam Research BV - The Netherlands
As an International Senior Field Service Engineer working in various European locations on the installation, maintenance and product support of Etch, CVD (Chemical Vapour Deposition), CMP (Chemical Mechanical Planarization) and Wafer Cleaning semiconductor manufacturing equipment. Managing of system installation projects, including meeting with customers and discussing their needs before and during installation of equipment at various customer sites. Carrying out process-tuning, diagnosing hardware and process related problems.
Report writing and the carrying out of system audits for customers. Attending meetings and participating in many conference calls and following up on all customer concerns. Also I was member of the “Community of Specialists” for Lam CMP and Clean products, as well as also being a member of the European RPS as a Product Support Engineer for CMP and Clean systems.



1968-1994 Royal Air Force

1990-1994 RAF Brüggen - Germany
Maintenance of Tornado aircraft avionics systems
Manager on a team of 12 Avionics technicians.
Responsible for report writing and carrying out of regular quality audits on aircraft and servicing locations. Ensuring all work carried out was to the required specification.
As Health and Safety Officer I was responsible for all aspects of Squadron Health and Safety matters. Including the investigating accidents and incidents, report writing, auditing equipment, hazardous locations and ensuring that personnel records were updated. I was also responsible for ensuring that COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations were adhered to and I had to carrying out risk assessments in all areas.

1985-1990 RAF Cranwell – England
Managed and supervised team of 20 airmen on a very busy flight line.
Checked and co-ordinated aircraft flying and servicing documents.
Writing of reports and appraisals on personnel performance, planned and organised detachments to other airfields, including logistics, technical support, movement of personnel, transport and accommodation

1983-1985 Sultan of Oman’s Air force - Oman
Two years loan service in Oman. I was responsible for the training of Omani personnel on Jaguar aircraft avionics and electronic systems. Also I carried out maintenance of Jaguar aircraft avionic systems. I had to be diplomatic when dealing with Omani personnel and was also employed part time as the Station Photographer.

1981-1983 RAF Lossiemouth - Scotland
As an SNCO and Rectification Controller in an Aircraft Maintenance Flight on Buccaneer and Jaguar aircraft responsible for ensuring all servicing deadlines were met and ordered spares arrived on time.

1980-1981 RAF Wattisham - England
Serviced and Maintained Radio and Radar Equipment on 56 Squadron F4 Phantom aircraft.

1977-1980 RAF Bruggen - Germany
As JNCO I was in charge of a shift in maintaining Radio, Radar and other Avionic equipment as well as Computerised Automatic Test Equipment in an Electronic Servicing Centre.
